Myanmar best-known beach resort providing the visitor with un-spoilt white sand beaches fringed with coconut groves as far as the eye can see. All along this coast are lies Asia's undiscovered paradise. A blessing because the beaches remain remarkably pristine. There are no loud beachside bars, no rows of suntan-oiled bodies basking in the sun and no vendors pressing you to buy souvenirs.
One can find the three natural ingredients of a perfect seaside holiday-the sea, the sand and the sun. The area contains many small islands that can be visited on day trips from main center. This unspoiled beach streatching over 3 km with blue sea, white sand and swaying palm trees is 35 minutes' flight from Yangon. By overland, 14 hours' drive along the narrow winding road over the Rakhine Yoma after crossing the Ayeyarwaddy River at Pyay (Prome). There is an 18-hole golf course about 15 minutes' drive from the beach
Once there was a home sick Italian who said the beach looked like the Naple beach in Italy. And it is assumed to have descended from the word "Naple". There is no meaning in Myanmar or Rakhine about Ngapali.
