Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Pick up at Noi Bai Airport by Asia King Travel’s guide, transfer to hotel, time free. Afternoon we will take cyclo ride through the city's Old Quarter. In the evening enjoy a Water puppet show – a remarkable Vietnamese art form that combines traditional music, fireworks, underwater puppeteers, and elaborate puppets floating gracefully over water. Overnight at the hotel in Hanoi
Day 2: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B, L, D)
In the morning, we enjoy a half day city tour starting with the Ho Chi Minh Complex. This famous site contains the Mausoleum of the nation’s founder Ho Chi Minh (Closed on Monday, Friday & November), the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh’s house on stilts. Close to this complex is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. We follow this with the Temple of Literature. Have lunch at the local restaurant .In the afternoon, transfer to Halong city, after three and half hour, arrival in Halong City, check in hotel. Time at leisure. Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Halong city
Day 3: Halong Bay – Luang Prabang (B, L, D)
In the morning, we will take 5 hour cruise in Halong Bay. Cruise to the world natural heritage listed by UNESSCO since 1994, see limestone cliffs risen up from the emerald water with opportunities of photos taking visit Thien Cung and Dau Go Cave, of Dinh Huong Island, Ga Choi Island, Dog Island, Sail island. Enjoy the seafood lunch served on board. Back the wharf after a 5 hour boat trip. In the afternoon, we will return for a 3 hour journey to Hanoi for flight to Luang Prabang, the ancient city of Laos, pick up and transfer to hotel. Dinner in local restaurant. Day 4: Luang Prabang (B, L, D)
We enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai, Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang temple. We then board a boat embarking upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysterious of Pak Ou Caves, crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Phanom, well known for its hand weaving. Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Luang Prabang
Day 5: Luang Prabang – Vientiane (B, L, D)
Morning visit the National Museum at the former Royal Palace, and the Central Market. Then transfer to airport for flight to Vientiane. Upon arrival, we see the major temples including the oldest Wat Sisaket, a temple of thousands of miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat Prakeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the way to the famous, sacred structure of That Luang Stupa, we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph, sunset by Mekong Riverside and late evening. Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Vientiane
Day 6: Vientiane – Siem Reap (B, L, D)
After breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Siem Reap. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Visit the Roluos Group. The monuments of Roluos, which served as the capital of Indravarman I, Preah KO, Bakong, Lolei. In the afternoon, continue your temple tour. See the unique interior brick sculptures Prasat Kravan, the Srah Srang reservoir (known as "The Royal Baths" was once used for ritual bathing), Banteay Kdei , Eastern Mebon and the mountain-temple of Pre Rup until sunset. Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap
Day 7: Siem Reap (B, L, D)
Breakfast we visit the most famous of all the temples on the plain of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The temple complex covers 81 hectares and is comparable in size to the Imperial Palace in Beijing. Its distinctive five towers are emblazoned on the Cambodian flag and the 12th century masterpiece is considered by art historians to be the prime example of classical Khmer art and architecture. Angkor Watt’s five towers symbolize Menu’s five peaks - the enclosed wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond. Lunch at local restaurant. Visit the South Gate, the ancient capital of Angkor Thom (12th century), Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. Sunset at Angkor Wat. Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap
Day 8: Siem Reap – Flight to Ho Chi Minh (B, L, D)
Morning, transfer to Banteay Srei temple (10th century), regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Continue to Ta Prohm, one of the area's most beautiful temples. Ta Prohm has been relatively untouched since it was discovered and retains much of its mystery. Lunch at local restaurant. In the afternoon, you continue your temple visits to Preah Khan. Built by the King Jayavarman VII, Preah Khan is, like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, the temple of Prea Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation. Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool, Ta Som and Banteay Samre, built in the third quarter of the 12th century. Transfer to airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh. Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh
Day 9: HCM – Cu Chi tunnel (B, L, D)
Morning, departure for the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, which were an incredible underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, plus accommodation and schools, and were used as a military base for the Vietcong in the American war. Return to Saigon for lunch. Afternoon we will visit some major sights of the city. We pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy before we visit the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975, and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Old Saigon Post Office. After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum, we continue our trip on to the bustling Ben Thanh Market where anything and everything is for sale! Dinner in local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh
Day 10: HCM – Departure (B)
Morning after having breakfast you are free until leaving hotel for airport for flight back home. End of Asia King Travel’s Services
